Ultra-Compact Digital Mixer for Radio and Television Production
The AEQ CAPITOL IP12CS is an ultra-compact digital audio mixing console designed for professional radio and television environments where space efficiency, reliability, and broadcast-grade performance are critical. It combines a refined control surface with an integrated audio engine, delivering precise control for live broadcasting, news production, voice studios, and self-operated applications.
Flush-Mount Control Surface for Integrated Studio Furniture
Unlike tabletop versions, the CAPITOL IP12CS is supplied without wooden side trims and the supporting metal frame, allowing it to be seamlessly integrated into studio furniture. This design enables the control surface to sit perfectly flush with the desk, creating a clean, uniform workspace that aligns with modern broadcast studio design standards while maintaining full ergonomic access to all controls.
Redesigned Control Layout with Silent Operation
The control surface has been updated with new silent buttons, additional programmable keys, and a revised monitoring section layout. These enhancements improve workflow speed and reduce mechanical noise, making the console well suited for on-air studios and self-op environments. Passive convection cooling ensures completely silent operation without fans, supporting noise-sensitive broadcast spaces.
Integrated IP Audio Engine with Flexible Routing
The CAPITOL IP12CS implements IP connectivity through a built-in module offering 16 input and 16 output channels directly within the console core. This configuration supports a single multichannel access method, either IP or MADI depending on factory configuration, ensuring stable and streamlined audio transport without unnecessary complexity. Ethernet connectivity is provided through rear-panel ports designed for professional studio infrastructure.
Comprehensive Monitoring and Talkback Capabilities
All system signals can be routed for monitoring across control room speakers, studio outputs, cue headphones, and VU meters. Built-in talkback functionality can be assigned to any microphone, supported by four PTT buttons for direct intercom operation. Integrated headphone outputs, stereo VU meters, and a phase meter provide operators with clear visual and auditory feedback at all times.
Broadcast-Grade Audio Performance and System Tools
The console supports electronically balanced analog microphone and line inputs and outputs, transformer-balanced digital I/O, and sampling rate converters on digital inputs. A built-in test tone generator, clock, timer, and stopwatch provide essential broadcast tools for live operation. An optional redundant power supply is available for mission-critical installations requiring additional system resilience.
