The ART M-Six Stereo Matched Pair is a set of small-diaphragm condenser microphones designed for accurate stereo recording in studio, broadcast, and live sound environments. Built to capture detailed transients and natural frequency balance, this matched pair is ideal for acoustic instruments, drum overheads, piano, strings, choirs, and ambient room capture where consistency between microphones is critical.

Matched Capsules for Accurate Stereo Imaging

Each microphone in the M-Six pair is carefully matched to ensure consistent sensitivity and frequency response between units. This matching allows engineers to create stable stereo images using techniques such as X/Y, ORTF, or spaced pair configurations. The result is clear left-to-right definition with reliable phase coherence across the stereo field.

Small Diaphragm Design with Wide Frequency Response

The microphones use 22 mm gold-sputtered diaphragms that deliver a smooth and controlled response from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. This wide range allows the M-Six microphones to capture both low-frequency body and high-frequency detail without exaggeration, making them suitable for critical instrument recording and ensemble work.

Pad and High-Pass Filter Controls for Loud Sources

Each microphone includes a three-position pad switch that allows 0 dB, -10 dB, or -15 dB attenuation. This enables clean recording of loud sound sources such as brass, percussion, or amplified instruments. A three-position high-pass filter provides flat response or low-frequency roll-off at 75 Hz or 150 Hz with a 12 dB per octave slope, helping control rumble and proximity buildup.

Cardioid Pickup Pattern for Focused Capture

The cardioid polar pattern focuses on sound directly in front of the microphone while reducing pickup from the sides and rear. This directional response improves isolation, minimizes room reflections, and makes placement easier in untreated spaces or live environments where bleed control is important.

Included Shockmounts and Protective Carrying Case
