Purpose-Built IP Audio Control System for Schools and Campuses
The AtlasIED IP108-D-EDU-CS is a centralized IP-based communication controller designed to support educational institutions with a scalable, reliable, and easily managed audio distribution platform. It handles announcements, paging, intercom, emergency alerts, and bell schedules throughout a facility or campus using digital audio over Ethernet. This controller acts as the communication hub for the GLOBALCOM®.EDU system, connecting digital mic stations, zone controllers, IP speakers, amplifiers, and VoIP systems into one intelligent and unified messaging environment.
Dante AoE Integration for Campus-Wide Audio Transport
This model includes eight digital audio channels using Dante™ Audio over Ethernet (AoE), allowing simultaneous audio distribution to endpoints across the network. It simplifies infrastructure requirements by transmitting all audio over standard network cabling while maintaining high fidelity and low latency. Ideal for schools with existing Dante setups or institutions moving from analog to IP-based paging, the IP108-D-EDU-CS brings professional-grade audio routing into every classroom, hallway, gym, and outdoor zone.
Pre-Installed Software with Web-Based Configuration
The unit ships with GCK software already installed, allowing immediate browser-based setup and customization. Using the intuitive GCK interface, administrators can create message zones, set up schedules, assign priorities, and configure system triggers. The plug-and-play design streamlines installation for AV and IT teams, reducing downtime and speeding deployment in live environments such as K–12 districts and college campuses.
Full VoIP Integration and Flexible Trigger Options
The IP108-D-EDU-CS supports SIP and PBX VoIP systems, allowing pages and alerts to be initiated from a phone interface. Triggers can also be activated through contact closures, I/O devices, or communication stations. The controller supports 8 logic inputs and 8 relay outputs, offering flexible integration with fire alarms, access control, and other safety systems. With full-duplex intercom capability and zone-based mute functions, the system ensures precise message delivery where it's needed.
Advanced Scheduling and Emergency Prioritization
This model includes an internal message scheduler for automated bells, reminders, and announcements. It manages up to 250 hours of stored .wav files and supports ad hoc playback. Messages can be triggered in real-time or based on time-of-day events. The integrated S.A.F.E. alert system handles critical notifications with up to 65,565 message priority levels and NeverMISS™ technology—ensuring emergency content is always delivered even during heavy system traffic.
Support for Multilingual Environments with Text-to-Speech
The IP108-D-EDU-CS supports multilingual messaging with onboard text-to-speech (TTS) capabilities. Users can configure the system to generate dynamic announcements without needing pre-recorded audio. Optional multilingual TTS engines allow messages to be delivered in the appropriate language for diverse educational populations, supporting better communication across culturally varied campuses.
Built for Reliability in AV/IT Rack Systems
Designed for 19-inch AV and IT rack installations, this 1RU controller features a two-line LCD display and runs on a 64-bit Intel® Quad Core™ processor. With 24-bit processing at a 48kHz sample rate, it delivers professional-grade audio performance. The unit operates at 12VDC and consumes just 36W. It is safety certified (ETL listed) and includes a 36-month warranty for long-term dependability.
