Audio from the caller enters from the station hybrid and can be routed to one or both program buses, without ever feeding back the caller’s own voice. With flexible assignment options, this section makes live call-ins smooth, controlled, and professional.

Program Assignments For Flexible Routing

The MST A4 provides output switches to assign the caller’s audio to any combination of the two program outputs, PGM1 and PGM2. This allows for real-time control of where the caller feed is sent, ensuring production staff can manage multiple outputs efficiently. Live talk-ins are easily enabled with a press of the program switches, making this panel practical for both small stations and large studio operations.

Cue And Talkback Functionality

The built-in CUE button allows engineers to listen to the caller before they go live, sending the signal to the console’s cue bus where it can be monitored on the meterbridge cue speaker. Additionally, the TB (talkback) button provides a direct communication path, letting the DJ or host speak privately with the caller before they’re put on air. Dedicated Fader And Channel Controls

The long-throw fader sets the caller’s audio level with precision, while the ON button provides quick access to channel control. If the channel is switched off, the caller’s signal is automatically excluded from program buses, though still accessible through the cue output if assigned.
