The Audix AP42BPA Performance Series Wireless System is a dual-channel UHF bodypack solution designed for performers, presenters, houses of worship, conference facilities, and live production teams who need two independent wireless channels in one rack space. This system includes the R42 dual-channel diversity receiver and two B60 bodypack transmitters, providing reliable RF performance, flexible microphone compatibility, and fast setup for demanding stage and installed sound environments.
Wideband Dual Receiver with Auto Scan and Sync
The R42 diversity receiver operates in the 554 to 586 MHz frequency band and offers 32 MHz of tuning bandwidth with 106 factory-coordinated frequencies. One-touch auto scan quickly finds clear RF channels, and infrared sync links each transmitter to the receiver in seconds. The front-panel LCD displays group, channel, frequency, RF and AF levels, squelch, and battery status for both channels. Adjustable AF and RF gain controls allow precise optimization for different venues, while balanced XLR and unbalanced 1/4-inch outputs provide flexible integration with mixers and PA systems.
Two Rugged B60 Bodypack Transmitters Included
Each included B60 bodypack transmitter is housed in durable metal construction built for touring and rental use. Designed to support lavalier microphones, headworn mics, instrument microphones, electric guitar, or bass, the B60 connects via a 3-pin mini-XLR input. A modular antenna design allows for compact storage and serviceability. The top-panel soft mute switch functions as both mute and power control, enabling discreet transitions during live events.
Extended Bandwidth and Long Runtime Performance
The B60 transmitters provide 64 MHz of bandwidth from 522 to 586 MHz, covering A and B frequency groups for compatibility with Performance Series receivers. Selectable RF output power of 10 or 30 mW allows users to balance range and battery efficiency. Four selectable gain settings help match input levels from speech to instruments. Powered by two AA batteries, each transmitter delivers up to 14 hours of operation, making the system suitable for full-day conferences, worship services, or live productions.
Rackmount Design with Professional Connectivity
The R42 receiver is housed in a 19-inch rackmount chassis and includes BNC cables for front-mount antenna configuration, along with an internal antenna combiner for dual-antenna operation. A ground-lift switch helps reduce hum caused by ground loops in complex audio setups. Up to eight AP42 systems can be coordinated to operate 16 channels simultaneously, making this solution suitable for multi-presenter events, theatrical productions, and corporate AV installations.
