Single Channel Wireless Handheld Microphone System for Live Performance
The Audix AP61VX5 is a single-channel wireless microphone system designed to deliver dependable, high-quality audio for vocalists, presenters, and performers in live sound environments. This complete system pairs a true diversity wireless receiver with a handheld condenser microphone transmitter, providing stable signal transmission, clear vocals, and straightforward operation. It is well suited for stages, houses of worship, conferences, and public speaking applications where reliable wireless performance is essential.
True Diversity Receiver for Stable Long Range Wireless Audio
At the center of the system is the Audix R61 single-channel true diversity receiver, engineered to maintain a consistent wireless connection in challenging RF environments. Operating in the 522 to 586 MHz frequency range, the receiver offers 64 MHz of tuning bandwidth with 207 pre-coordinated frequencies and 2560 tunable options. This allows multiple systems to operate simultaneously while reducing the risk of interference. With an operating range of up to 450 feet, the system supports confident movement across large stages and venues.
Fast Setup with Auto Scan and Infrared Sync
The AP61VX5 is designed for quick and efficient configuration. One-touch auto scan automatically selects the cleanest available frequency, while infrared sync instantly transfers settings from the receiver to the handheld transmitter. A high-contrast LCD on the receiver displays essential information including frequency, group and channel, RF and AF signal levels, and battery status. Adjustable AF and RF gain controls allow fine-tuning to match different venues and sound systems.
Handheld Condenser Microphone with VX5 Capsule
The included Audix H60 handheld transmitter is fitted with a VX5 supercardioid condenser capsule, optimized for vocal clarity and high sound pressure handling. With a frequency response of 40 Hz to 16.5 kHz and a maximum SPL of approximately 140 dB, the microphone delivers detailed vocals while maintaining strong rejection of off-axis sound. This makes it suitable for lead vocals, speech reinforcement, and applications where intelligibility and feedback control are critical.
Performer Friendly Controls and Rugged Construction
The handheld transmitter features a durable metal body built to withstand regular live use. A soft mute button allows silent on and off switching, while selectable gain settings and RF output power provide flexibility for different performance needs. A high-contrast LCD on the transmitter shows group, channel, frequency, and battery status. Two AA batteries power the transmitter for up to 14 hours, supporting extended rehearsals and performances.
Flexible Connectivity and Installation Options
The R61 receiver includes both XLR and 1/4-inch outputs, allowing easy connection to professional mixers, powered speakers, or installed sound systems. Ground lift functionality helps reduce hum caused by ground loops, and antennas can be mounted on the front or rear of the receiver to suit rack or tabletop configurations. A rackmount kit, antennas, audio cable, and power supply are included, making the system ready for immediate deployment.
