The Community R.35-3896-EN is a fully horn-loaded, triaxial three-way loudspeaker designed to deliver high-quality voice and music reproduction in environments requiring extreme weather resistance. With its 8-inch carbon ring cone LF driver, dual midrange compression drivers, and a 1-inch exit HF driver, this loudspeaker ensures excellent musicality, intelligibility, and dispersion consistency. Its compact, weather-resistant ABS plastic enclosure makes it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.
Innovative MultiSource Waveguide Technology
Featuring Community's MultiSource Waveguide™ horn design, the R.35-3896-EN seamlessly combines outputs from the dual midrange and high-frequency drivers into a single, time-coherent source. This technology provides consistent 90° x 60° coverage, ensuring uniform sound distribution across the listening area. The low LF/MR passive crossover point enhances midrange pattern control and eliminates horn coloration in the low-frequency response.
Durable Construction for Harsh Conditions
Built to withstand long-term exposure to challenging environmental conditions, the R.35-3896-EN features a hydrophobically-treated grille and LF driver cone, polymer HF and MR diaphragms, and a moisture-sealed crossover. Its corrosion-resistant, dual-layer powder-coated steel grille and low-profile yoke ensure durability and longevity, making it ideal for installations in theme parks, stadiums, cruise ships, and other demanding venues.
Flexible Tuning with Music/Voice Switch
The integrated Music/Voice switch offers application flexibility by providing an out-of-the-box flat response in the "Music" setting or up to a 5dB boost for increased vocal projection and intelligibility in the "Voice" setting. This feature allows the loudspeaker to adapt to various audio requirements without the need for additional equalization.
High Output and Sensitivity
The R.35-3896-EN delivers a maximum output of 124 dB (130 dB peak) with a sensitivity of 98 dB (1W/1m), ensuring powerful sound reproduction even in large or noisy environments. Its 8-inch LF driver, with a 3-inch voice coil and flange-less frame design, provides a cone area nearly equivalent to a typical 10-inch driver, resulting in high sensitivity and extended low-frequency response.
