The Decimator Design MD-QUAD v3 is a compact yet powerful 3G/HD/SD-SDI quad split multi-viewer designed for demanding professional video monitoring setups. Whether you're dealing with 3G, HD, or SD signals, this unit intelligently detects the format of each input automatically—supporting 26 different signal types. It’s ideal for productions that rely on mixed signal formats or need flexible signal routing. Each input is buffered with low-latency processing, allowing real-time viewing with minimal delay regardless of signal differences.

Independent Aspect Ratios and Layout Per Quadrant
Each quadrant is independently configurable, giving you the ability to display 16:9 or 4:3 content in either 90% or 100% screen usage. Input formats can be shown using native aspect, letterboxing, or pillarboxing. Whether you're building a custom layout or monitoring multi-format cameras, the flexibility this viewer offers makes it a smart addition to any production workflow.

Built-In Test Patterns and Audio Monitoring
The MD-QUAD v3 includes a professional 3G/HD/SD test pattern generator with 54 different patterns, including luma and chroma zone plates. An audio tone generator is also onboard, along with extensive audio metering tools. The first two audio groups from each input can be viewed with selectable metering scales like AES, VU, BBC, EBU, and more, complete with adjustable range, transparency, and bar thickness.

No Computer Required Menu Configuration
Accessing and adjusting settings is simple with the built-in rotary encoder, LED indicators, and push-button controls. You can navigate all menu functions without needing to connect a PC, and on-screen popups give instant feedback when changing settings. From input selection to aspect ratio and overlay configuration, everything can be controlled directly from the front panel.

Locking Power Input and Pass-Through Capabilities
A locking DC input ensures power remains connected during mobile or live setups. The unit also includes a pass-through mode that allows one of the four inputs to be routed directly to both the SDI and HDMI outputs, bypassing multi-view when needed. This gives you the flexibility to use it as a simple router or signal distributor when required.

Professional Monitoring with Expandable Control Options
A USB port is available for firmware updates and additional control, while the RJ-45 GPI port enables tally and remote switching. Each input also supports an on-screen 16-character ID label (UMD), and tally markers can be activated using external controls. These features are especially useful in OB trucks, live broadcast rooms, and multi-camera control environments.
