The Genelec 8020DRwM is a 2-way active monitor built for precision mixing and referencing in space-constrained environments. Featuring a rugged RAW aluminum finish, this monitor uses Genelec’s signature acoustic technologies to deliver accurate frequency response and imaging for professional audio production. It’s powered by dual 50W Class-D amplifiers and features a 4” woofer paired with a ¾” tweeter for a full-range response, ideal for edit suites, broadcast trucks, or small control rooms.

The 8020DRwM employs Genelec’s MDE (Minimum Diffraction Enclosure) die-cast aluminum cabinet, reducing reflections and standing waves for clean, uncolored playback. Its curved front baffle and integrated waveguide ensure tight directivity control both on- and off-axis, helping you make reliable mixing decisions in challenging spaces. The result is a well-balanced soundstage that holds up whether you're centered or off to the side.

Intelligent power-saving with ISS

Genelec’s ISS (Intelligent Signal Sensing) technology automatically powers the speaker on when an input signal is present and places it into a power-saving standby mode when idle. This feature keeps energy consumption low—under 0.5W in standby—without interrupting your workflow. It’s a smart solution for studios looking to optimize power usage without adding manual switches or external control systems.

Vibration isolation and flexible positioning

Every 8020DRwM includes an Iso-Pod stand, which decouples the speaker from desktops or console surfaces to minimize resonance. The stand can also tilt ±15°, allowing you to point the monitor directly at your listening position. Rear-panel EQ switches provide further optimization by compensating for common room and placement issues like boundary proximity or desktop reflections.

Rear-ported low-end extension

Despite its compact size, the 8020DRwM delivers controlled low-frequency response thanks to a rear-facing bass reflex port. This allows it to produce clean low-end content without distortion or turbulence.
