Compact Studio Monitor with Smart Features
The Genelec 8320APM is a 2-way Smart Active Monitor (SAM) built for pro-level accuracy in small studios, mobile rigs, and tight mix spaces. Styled in a sleek producer-finish, this active monitor features a 4" woofer and 3/4" tweeter powered by dual 50W Class-D amplifiers. It supports software-based room calibration and delivers transparent, flat response from 55 Hz to 23 kHz. Whether mixing music, editing film, or working in immersive formats, the 8320APM adapts to your space and workflow.
Built-In Room Calibration with GLM Software
As part of Genelec’s SAM range, the 8320APM connects with GLM software (sold separately) for auto-calibration and group control. This lets you fine-tune response, manage delays, and correct for room colorations automatically. Ideal for studios without heavy acoustic treatment, it ensures your monitoring environment translates with precision, even in mobile setups or tight rooms.
Optimized for Clear Imaging and Balanced Response
The 8320APM employs Genelec’s Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW) to extend the sweet spot and control dispersion. A rear-facing bass reflex port enhances low-end extension, while the Minimum Diffraction Enclosure (MDE) helps reduce early reflections for cleaner mids and highs. The result is consistent and uncolored sound across a wide listening area.
Ready for Analog Integration
This version of the 8320A is equipped with a single balanced XLR input for analog signal paths. While it doesn’t include digital I/O, it integrates cleanly into traditional setups where GLM-based correction and analog reference playback are critical. Signal overload protection and a selectable power-saving mode are built in, offering both safety and convenience.
Flexible Mounting and Compact Form Factor
Designed for tight environments, the 8320APM includes an Iso-Pod isolation stand and offers threaded mounting points compatible with mic stands, wall mounts, and ceiling brackets. The aluminum enclosure is both lightweight and rugged, ensuring durability for mobile rigs and permanent installs alike.
