Comprehensive Audio Monitoring and Mixing in a Compact Rack Unit

The Nixer RL64 Ravenna is a 1U rack-mounted 64-channel AoIP monitoring and mixing unit designed for professional audio environments. It offers both mixing and listening modes, allowing users to create custom mixes or quickly monitor individual channels. With support for Ravenna, AES67, and SMPTE ST 2110 protocols, the RL64 ensures compatibility with modern audio-over-IP networks.

Dual Operation Modes for Versatile Use

In mixing mode, the RL64 can handle up to 64 channels at 48kHz (or 32 channels at 96kHz), plus microphone and AES inputs, creating a 67-to-2 stereo mix. Alternatively, the listen mode enables instant routing of any channel to the main output by simply touching the channel on the touchscreen, canceling previous selections for rapid monitoring.

Multiple Output Options for Flexible Monitoring

The unit features built-in full-range speakers and a 3.5mm headphone jack for direct audio monitoring. When headphones are connected, the speakers are automatically muted. Additionally, the RL64 provides stereo balanced line outputs and an AES3 digital output via XLR connectors on the rear panel, allowing integration with external systems.

Intuitive Touchscreen Interface for Easy Control

A 6.6-inch high-resolution color LCD with capacitive touch control serves as the primary interface. The user-friendly menu system provides quick access to all functions, including channel metering, routing, and system settings. Firmware updates are facilitated through a front-panel USB micro AB connector.

Robust Connectivity and Power Options

Equipped with primary and secondary 1Gbps RJ45 network ports, the RL64 supports redundant or switched network configurations. It can be powered via Power over Ethernet (PoE) on the primary port or through dual 24V DC inputs with screw-lock connectors for redundancy. An optional external power supply is available for setups without PoE.
