Multichannel Wireless Receiver Designed for Production Versatility
The Sound Devices A20-Nexus is a high-performance multichannel wireless receiver system designed for professional TV, film, and broadcast audio workflows. With 8 true-diversity channels standard (expandable to 12 or 16), the A20-Nexus provides industry-leading digital RF performance in a compact 1/2-rack format. Whether you’re rigging a bag, building a cart, or integrating into a rack system, the A20-Nexus adapts to your setup with remote control, PoE, Dante networking, and modular expansion. Paired with A20-Mini or A10 transmitters, it forms a complete wireless ecosystem with unmatched spectrum flexibility and remote control.

Wideband SpectraBand Technology for Global Use
SpectraBand technology allows the A20-Nexus to tune from 470 to 1525 MHz in a single unit. That means you can find open frequencies in congested RF environments or switch between global regions without changing hardware. A20-Monarch antennas (sold separately) cover the full bandwidth, allowing simplified antenna setups with minimal equipment. Whether you're coordinating frequencies in a stadium, studio, or remote set, the A20-Nexus is engineered to adapt instantly.

GainForward and NexLink Improve Workflow Speed
GainForward Architecture eliminates transmitter-side gain control. Adjust gain, low-cut filtering, and limiting directly from your A20-Nexus or Sound Devices 8-Series mixer without needing to access the bodypack. NexLink adds another layer of convenience by delivering long-distance remote control of transmitter settings over a robust modulation link. You can power down, change frequencies, start recording, or adjust RF power—right from your workstation. These features eliminate delays on set and give audio teams precise control with minimal physical interaction.

Built-In Real-Time Spectrum Analysis and Web App Control
The integrated Real Time Spectrum Analyzer (RTSA) helps scan, visualize, and coordinate RF environments directly on the 6.2-inch OLED touchscreen. The A20-Nexus also includes an onboard web server accessible via any device with a browser. Through this Web App, users can monitor and control the receiver remotely—adjust frequencies, review channel activity, or control Dante audio routing from any connected computer or tablet.

Flexible Powering, Dante Support, and Expansion Options
Power options are designed to fit every workflow. Power the A20-Nexus via PoE+, DC input, your Sound Devices 8-Series mixer, or AC mains (with adapter). Audio routing is equally versatile, with dual DB-25 outputs and Dante audio-over-IP for digital workflows. You can expand to 12 or 16 channels with additional plug-in licenses, making the A20-Nexus a scalable investment for growing production teams. Optional optical SFP support opens even more routing flexibility for broadcast and touring applications.

Modular Integration with Sound Devices Ecosystem
Dock the A20-Nexus directly onto your Sound Devices 8-Series mixer using the A20-QuickDock (sold separately), or detach and remote the receiver for distributed RF systems. Its modular design allows it to function independently or as part of a larger audio control hub. The system supports full transmitter shutdown for battery savings, real-time timecode sync, and long-range digital modulation—all with top-tier audio quality across the entire system.

Engineered for Demanding Environments
From harsh on-location shoots to fast-paced broadcast environments, the A20-Nexus is built to deliver consistent results. With its true-diversity reception, wide tuning range, and 100% digital long-range RF modulation, it offers rock-solid performance and pristine audio from 10 Hz to 20 kHz. Coupled with SpectraBand’s global frequency agility, NexLink’s reliable control, and a compact chassis, the A20-Nexus stands as the most versatile and expandable wireless receiver in its class.
