Digital Input Expansion for Professional Audio Systems
The Yamaha NXAEDT is a high-performance digital input extension card designed exclusively for NXAMPmk2 powered controllers. It provides both AES/EBU and Dante™ connectivity, allowing advanced audio networking and digital signal integration in professional sound reinforcement and installation systems. This expansion card enables precise, high-quality digital audio routing for large-scale venues, touring systems, and fixed installations requiring robust performance and flexibility.

Dual AES/EBU and Dante Connectivity in One Card
Equipped with two channels of AES/EBU inputs and four channels of Dante™ inputs, the NXAEDT supports a wide range of professional workflows. AES/EBU connections include buffered outputs for redundancy and reliability, while Dante™ inputs support switched or redundant modes for network flexibility. Both formats handle sample rates from 44.1 kHz to 96 kHz, ensuring compatibility with diverse audio sources and formats.

Flexible Networking with Integrated Gigabit Switch
The NXAEDT features a built-in 4-port gigabit network switch with four selectable configuration modes, giving system integrators multiple networking options. This flexibility allows the card to adapt to different infrastructure designs, whether the system requires isolated control networks or combined Dante™ audio and control over the same connection.

Optimized for NXAMPmk2 Powered Controllers
Purpose-built for the NXAMPmk2 platform, the NXAEDT integrates seamlessly into the amplifier’s architecture, expanding its input options without the need for additional hardware. This tight integration ensures low-latency audio processing and full compatibility with Yamaha and NEXO system management tools. It is not compatible with first-generation NXAMPmk1 units.

Remote Control and Network Configuration Options
The extension card’s remote control ports can be configured as a standalone network or integrated into the Dante™ network, giving installers and technicians greater control over system management. This adaptability makes it an ideal solution for both mobile event setups and permanent installations requiring remote access and monitoring.
